The emotions in this book are strong and will keep you glued to the pages. These are two of the most well-developed main characters to grace the pages of a romance novel. Marc and Travis meet there and hook up, but want more afterward. When he heads home from work, snow forces him to check into a hotel. Marc is about to spend Christmas alone, as usual. I cried while reading this section of the story. It's almost Christmas and he is going to have to go home to break this news to his large, close family. What starts out as a 'game' for High becomes all too serious very quickly. These two meet again, they're older, she's a little softer and he's harder. Twenty years later, Millie's lived a cold existence and High is divorced after an emotionless marriage. She had her reasons, except she never told him. We understand why after being introduced to Millie Cross, his true love and the only one to ever kick him to the curb. He's rough around the edges and always a bit tormented. In book four of the Chaos Series, we get Logan High Judd's story. She's like hot soup on a cold day, her words ripe with comfort.

I haven't met a KA book that I didn't adore.
